Regulations of the Tavria V Odesa Unbroken Half Marathon 2026

 

 

 

1. Race date, location

Date: June 14, 2026

Time: 07:00-14:15

 

Start and finish locations: Odessa, Primorsky Boulevard, 8 (Monument to Duke de Richelieu).

2. Race objective

The charity race «Tavria V Odesa Unbroken Half Marathon 2026» (hereinafter – the Race) is held to motivate amateur athletes to keep their athletic shape and to raise funds – 50% of the project profit will be transferred to the needs of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

3. Organizers, patronage, and sponsors

The NGO “Run Ukraine” serves as the Race Organizer.

The Race Organizer forms the Organizing Committee from among its staff and invites branch-specific experts from various types of sports.

 

The Organizing Committee includes

  • Race Director, Tretiakov I.O.;
  • Head of Judge of the Race, Bocharska Yana.
4. Race Program

4.1. The starter packs will be distributed to the  INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANTS:

– June 13, 2026 (Saturday): 10:00–20:00 (Odesa, the address is to be announced);

Please, notice! There will be no distribution of starter packs on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

4.2. Distribution of starter packs to CORPORATE PARTICIPANTS will take place upon prior registration according to the information of the corporate manager of Run Ukraine.

5. Terms of admission to the Race

The participants may be admitted to the Race upon presentation of the documents provided at the time of receipt of the starter pack.

  • A starter letter printed out and signed by the participant (the starter letter is available in the participant’s personal profile or in the email box after a successful payment)
  • An ID document that confirms the age of a participant (required for all participants).
  • Participants will only be admitted to the starting corridor if they have a physical start number.

 

The 13-year-old participants (for the 5 km course) and the 15-year-old participants (for the 10 km course) are also required to present Parental (legal representative’s) consent for the participation of a minor participant in the races of 5 km and 10 km (Annex 2 or Annex 3 respectively).

All registered participants bear sole responsibility for their health and well-being regarding the race and confirm it by signing a corresponding statement.

Please notice!

  • A participant will not be given a starter pack and a race bib number if a participant fails to present an ID;
  • Another person may receive the starter pack by obtaining an SMS code from the organizer to identify the participant and issuing the pack to another person. If the code matches, the applicant receives the starter pack and is obliged to personally hand it over to the Owner;
  • The age of a participant is determined according to the NGO “Run Ukraine” Race Rules.
6. Emergencies during the Race

TO THE ATTENTION OF ALL RACE PARTICIPANTS!

In the event of the announcement of an Air raid warning in Odesa, the Race will be suspended (changes in the start schedule are possible). Continuation of the Race will be announced after the cancellation of the Air Alert (but in any case only during daylight hours).

In the event State Emergency Service issues a warning of possible significant deterioration of weather conditions in the region on the eve of or on the day of the Race or there is a threat to human life and health due to severe weather phenomena (including but not limited to earthquake, flood, hurricane, hail, cyclone, storm, lightning, other natural disasters), the Race Organizer reserves the right to take measures to ensure the safety of participants, audience, fans and all those who directly or indirectly participate in the Race.

The Race Organizing Committee has developed an internal safety scale, according to which in case of severe weather phenomena, the Organizing Committee will act in accordance with the plan and require all participants to strictly comply with its requirements, namely:

1st level of danger – wind with a force of 7-9 meters per second – dismantling of inflatable arches, light structures (including mileage indicators), light awnings, promotional and photo zones.

2nd level of danger – wind with a force of 9.5-10 meters per second – dismantling of all awnings, photo zones, as well as dismantling of the crossbar of the start-finish arch.

The project manager will ask you to remove anything that may be dangerous. 

High probability of cancellation of children’s races. The decision to hold or cancel them will be made immediately before the start of the children’s races based on the actual weather conditions at that time.

3rd level of danger – wind with a force of 11 meters per second and more – a collegial decision to hold or cancel the Race will be made.

The committee in charge of making this decision consists of: Ivan Tretiakov, Project Manager, a representative of the SES in the region, and Chief Referee of the race.

In case of an air raid warning in Odesa, the Race is stopped. The race will resume once the air raid warning is lifted (but in any case, only during daylight hours).

Taking into account that the Race is held during the period of martial law throughout the territory of Ukraine, in the event of the announcement of the signal “Air raid in Odesa,” the event will be suspended, the program of the event and the schedule of starts will be changed, and all participants must strictly comply with the requirements of the representatives of the Organizing Committee, must leave the territory of the event and go to the shelters, which are appropriately marked on the route map. After the signal “All sirens clear in Odesa” representatives of the Organizing Committee will decide on the possibility of continuing the event on the spot. The decision of the Organizing Committee and the updated Program of the Event will be announced to the participants within 10 minutes of the signal “All sirens clear in Odesa”.

In this case, the event will be suspended, and changes will be made to the race program and the start schedule. All participants must strictly comply with the requirements of the representatives of the Organizing Committee. The participants must leave the territory of the event and go to the shelters, which are appropriately marked on the route map.

After the signal “All sirens clear in Odesa” representatives of the Organizing Committee will decide on the possibility of continuing the event on the spot.

The decision of the Organizing Committee and the updated Program of the Event will be announced to the participants within ____ minutes from the moment of the signal “All sirens clear in Odesa”.

At the same time, the Contractor’s Services are not considered not provided, provided in poor quality or late, and no penalties are imposed on the Contractor due to the above circumstances, and the Contractor is not responsible for the termination/cancellation/postponement of the event.”

7. Courses and Routes

The Race route is mapped through Odesa. 

Track surface: 85% asphalt, 15% paving tiles.

 

All courses’ start and finish lines are located in the same spot.

8. Race registration

Participants may be admitted to the Race provided proper and timely registration.

Registration is only possible online on the organizer’s website runukraine.org or Run Ukraine app (Google Play or AppStore).

 

Online registration of participants is open from December 18, 2025, through June 13, 2026 (if slots are available).

 

The Race Organizer reserves the right to suspend or close registration without warning upon reaching the limit of participants.

A participant is registered once the application is filled in and the registration fee is paid.

The registration fee paid by a participant is non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to if a participant is unable to participate in the Race, cannot finish the course of choice, cannot finish the course within the set time limit, or if the participant is disqualified or the Race is canceled due to the unexpected consequences of COVID-19 pandemic or force majeure circumstances.

A participant’s registration is annulled if the participant provides the wrong information upon registration. If the registration is annulled, the registration fee is not refunded.

A paid registration may not be canceled, and the entry fee may not be refunded, except in cases where the Participant has purchased the “Easy Cancellation” Package. The procedure and conditions for refunds under this option are set out in the separate Terms and Conditions for the “Easy Cancellation” Package.

 

A participant may request the starter pack to be mailed within 3 days prior to the race using the services of “Nova Poshta.” This is a paid service and may be ordered at registration.

9. A starter pack may be given to a third person

A participant will receive an SMS code from the organizer to confirm the transfer of the starter pack to another person. If the code matches, the third person may receive the starter pack and must personally hand it over to the participant. 

10. Entry fee for individual registrations

The entry fee for the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 21 km” (90 slots) is 1350 UAH;

The entry fee for the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 21 km” (300 slots) is 1550 UAH;

The entry fee for the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 21 km” (210 slots) is 1850 UAH;

 

The entry fee for the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 10 km” (41 slots) is 1250 UAH;

The entry fee for the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 10 km” (135 slots) is 1450 UAH;

The entry fee for the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 10 km” (95 slots) is 1650 UAH;

 

The entry fee for the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 5 km” (23 slots) is 1150 UAH;

The entry fee for the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 5 km” (75 slots) is 1350 UAH;

The entry fee for the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 5 km” (53 slots) is 1450 UAH;

 

The entry fee for the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 1.6 km” (50 slots) is 900 UAH;

 

The entry fee for participation on the children’s courses of 1000/500/300 m is 300 UAH. The limit of participants is 300 children. 

 

“Odesa Unbroken Marathon | Heroes of the Nation 10 km” – participation is free of charge. The limit of participants is 100 persons. Registration opening and further details will be announced about one month before the event.

 

Participation in the “Odesa Unbroken Marathon | Heroes of the Nation 10 km” course is open to:

  • active military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
  • cadets of military schools and lyceums;
  • war veterans.

Admission to the race is subject to the presence of a combatant’s certificate.

 

The entry fee does not include the bank transfer fee.

The race participants pay the entry fee using an electronic payment system on the organizer’s website: https://runukraine.org or the Run Ukraine app (Google Play or AppStore).

 

Registration discounts.

Participation is free of charge for all military personnel on all courses. The limit of free registrations is 50 slots.

A 30% discount on registration is given to all military personnel upon reaching the limit of free registrations.

 

A 30% discount on registration is given to the following categories of participants:

  • Participants in hostilities and war participants;
  • Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Territorial Defense
  • Pensioners (men and women aged 60 and older).

 

There is no donation to the charitable cause from registration with a discount.

 

Participants must select the appropriate discount category in the Information section of their personal account on the runukraine.org website and upload the relevant documents (pension card, combatant card, disability pension card, etc.). Applications for discount categories will be processed within two business days. After it has been reviewed, the participant will receive a notification by email about the approval/rejection of the application. Once confirmed, the participant will be able to activate the corresponding discount when registering for the event.

If it is found that the participant does not match the declared special category, the registration is canceled without any compensation from the Race Organizer.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO RECEIVE A FREE OR DISCOUNTED STARTER PACK UPON PRESENTATION OF THE ORIGINAL COPY OF THE PENSION CERTIFICATE, COMBATANT CERTIFICATE, or CERTIFICATE OF A PERSON WITH A DISABILITY.

The starter pack of a participant on the course 300 m WITHOUT PARENTS includes:

  • race bib number with a participant’s name (for those registered by May 13, 2026)
  • result-capturing electronic chip
  • finisher medal (presented upon the completion of the whole course)
  • hydration stations at the finish line
  • pictures after the race

The starter pack of a participant on the course 300 m WITH PARENTS includes:

  • race bib number with a participant’s name (for those registered by May 13, 2026)
  • finisher medal (presented upon the completion of the whole course)
  • hydration stations at the finish line
  • pictures after the race

 

The participant must pick up his/her starter’s package on the designated distribution date. Starter’s package ownership rights are transferred to the participant on the distribution date, regardless of his or her presence or absence. In case of a no-show, the Organizers take on the responsibility of preserving the goods for one calendar month starting from the date of the Race. During this month, the participant can obtain it directly from the Organizers or arrange to have it delivered by the courier service at his or her own expense. After one calendar month from the date of the Race is over, the Organizers withdraw any liability for the security of the product and become entitled to dispose of it at any moment.

Participants are to pick up starter packages in person upon presenting the starting letter and ID.

Participants who failed to join the Race can obtain their starter’s package within 30 calendar days after the competition at the Organizer’s office, having previously sent a notification about their intention to do so by email: [email protected]. They also can place a request to have it delivered to a specified address.

Delivery of starter packages is done at the expense of the participant. If possible, the Organizer arranges for partners to provide free delivery.

12. For corporate teams

There are several options for participation for companies:

  • a corporate team is formed from 8 participants (for any course);
  • the cost and terms of registration of corporate participants are specified in the commercial offer (sent by the personal manager through corporate communications).

13. Food and Hydration Stations

Hydration stations are located at 5, 10, 12.5, 15, 18.5  km on the route and at the finish line. 

Food stations for the 21 km course are located at the 12.5, 15 and 18.5 km marks and the finish line.

They have water and medical care available. 

14. Award ceremony

21 km course, absolute championship:

For the 21 km course, the award is given to those winning places 1 through 5 in absolute championship. 

The winners and medalists receive commemorative prizes.

The winners in the age groups on the course “Odesa Unbroken Half-Marathon | 21 km” are determined as the three best results among men and women by age group:

Men: 18-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

Women: 18-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

 

The participant’s age is determined as of December 31 of the current year. Those awarded in the absolute championship may not receive an award in age groups. The places in age groups are based on Net Time. 

 

The winners and medalists receive commemorative prizes and monetary rewards.

There are no rewards for the participants on the course 300 m WITH PARENTS.

 

Please notice:

  • Participants who participate in wheelchairs or use other mechanical means during the race are not eligible for awards in absolute championship or age groups on any of the courses.
